Two people using each other's words and language is a sign of them bonding. Perhaps Firewatch would be less satisfying if all the moments in which the narrative doesn't diverge could be attributed to resource management. Delilah swearing might just be a reaction to Henry. In the case of Firewatch, I think the swearing adds to the character of Henry. They paint him as a guy down on his luck, taking on this new job as fire lookout just to get away from it all, so to me it's no surprise his words are unfiltered and sarcastic, regardless of whether they've always been or not. I think the game is great and was going to buy it but from watching gameplay footage on youtube, there alot of swearing going on. So much media includes swearing just for the sake of it, to be 'edgy', without actually adding anything to the characters or the story. I'm personally not opposed to swearing, but I can see how heavy use of it may put some people off from playing a game or watching a movie, and it's always a valid question to ask why the swearing is there.
